JKLF condemns Malik’s continued detention

Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) has strongly condemned the arrest and continued detention of its chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik.
Malik was arrested the other morning from his residence here and continues to be under policy custody, a JKLF spokesman said in a statement.
He said that no one has been allowed to meet Malik since he was picked up.
“On the one hand, the police and other armed forces have transformed the whole Valley into a battlefield and, on the other the rulers are trying to put a cover on its failures and repressive measures by putting forth new interpretations and justifying innocent killings by the armed forces. While the fact remains that the bloodshed in Jammu Kashmir will not stop till its complete demilitarization,” the spokesman quoted JKLF vice-chairman, Bashir Ahmed Bhat as saying.
Bashir Ahmad Bhat paid glowing tributes to the recently martyred youth including Tufail Ahmad, Rafiq Bangroo, Javid Malla, Shakeel Ahmad Ganai, Firdous Ahmad Khan, Bilal Ahmad, Tajamul Ahmad and Tariq Ahmad.
He has expressed solidarity with their families and prayed for the speedy recovery of scores of persons injured in the firing incidents.
